Trimble Outdoors was designed to help outdoor enthusiast make the most of their outdoor adventures. Trimble Outdoors combines the ability to: research trips posted by other Trimble Outdoors users, plan trips with topographic, street and aerial maps, transfer routes and waypoints with the most popular GPS receivers, insert pictures and notes into trip maps, and share adventures with friends, family and the on-line Trimble Outdoors community. View trip reports and pictures posted by other Trimble Outdoors Community members. Complete US coverage eliminates the need to purchase maps of each state, and the Web-based maps eliminate CD swapping when planning trips across different maps. Personalize trip maps with icons, text, waypoints, points-of-interest, routes and pictures. A graphical-user-interface (GUI) and tool tips make planning, personalizing and sharing trips on-line easy. All for a fraction of the cost of competing trip planning applications. Trimble Outdoor members and users include: hikers, hunters, fishers, mountain bikers, trail runners, cross-country skiers, snowshoers, snowmobilers, ATV and 4 X 4 drivers, motorcycle riders, prospectors, paddlers, boaters, geocachers and others venturing away from cities and streets (with or without a GPS receiver). Requirements: Windows 98 SE, 2000, ME or XP. Compatible with data transfer capable Garmin and Magellan GPS receivers. Data transfer requires an input/output serial cable (sold separately). Also compatible with Nextel i710, i730, i830, or i860 mobiles phones. Note: complete aerial maps of Hawaii were not available at the time of printing.
